This is my collection of paintings in various mediums of local Northern Michigan scenes. Most all are either acrylic or oil. My family loves to take rides in the car. We do it most every day, sometimes twice. Unlike most people, we do it for relaxation, recreation. While on the rides I constantly look out the window for “the perfect painting composition”. Sometimes I quirp up “stop… there’s a good one” and since I work primarily from photos, snap a quick one, much to the families irritation. After I’ve aggravated them to the point they say “no more” which is more times than not, I make a note of where it is and return later to take the shot. Hopefully the light is as good. I have also found great places to set up for plein air painting this way and have shared with my fellow painters.
Some of these original paintings are still available. Many of the images are works that the original has sold but reproductions are available as prints, note cards and magnets and may be purchased by going to the Shop Tab.
